Our friends stopped by the other day to say a (socially distanced) ‘Hello’, and we invited them to pick some lemons from our tree. It’s a weird time right now with Covid and Sheltering-in-place, so it’s nice to still be able to connect and share what we have.
This lemon tree is so fruitful! And it also needs a good pruning.
On Sunday afternoons when the weather is not cooperating, I sometimes take my 3-year-old to a local toy store with an amazing selection of used toys. We roam the store, lingering over Brio wooden train sets and bags of whiffle balls. I rummage through bins of vintage action figures, and he sends marbles down elaborate spiral tracks.

Walk into any office break room in the Bay Area and chances are you will find a bowl of homegrown lemons (or worse, a plastic bag of lemons) sitting on the counter with a note saying, “FREE!”
