About

I am not always a cheap person. Sometimes I splurge, sometimes I pay for convenience, sometimes I pay more than I should out of sheer laziness. I’m getting better at being frugal…it’s a work in progress.

There is almost always a trade-off to saving money. For me that trade-off is often in the spending of my time. Whether I’m sewing a throw pillow, experimenting with a recipe, or researching new insurance, time is exchanged for the money saved. It’s the downside of DIY. But the pleasure in doing things for yourself makes up for a lot, and of course the extra pennies don’t hurt!

What you will find here
This site is a storehouse of what my friends and I do to save money, live well, and eat healthy. The food and projects are as easy and time-saving as we can make them without losing quality. We’ve tried to document it all in a way that is clear and concise.

We’d love it if you tried out some of the stuff we do, with any luck the leg work we’ve done saves time and money for you.  More than that, we hope this site inspires you with your own great ideas on how to save and live well.
